My 8 month old daughter loves toys that she can spin. She gets so excited when she sees the wheel move knowing she made it do that. I bought one of those spinners with the suction cup on the bottom and she went apesh** over it - but it kept getting unstuck. So I bought this because it has a wide sturdy base. Like I hoped, it stays put so she can spin to her heart's content. I only wish it did something more interesting in response. She is far too young to care about the letters or animals - she'd rather it had cool lights or beads to rattle. She honestly enjoys spinning it just as much when the sound is turned off - it adds nothing to the experience.

My daughter recieved this when she was around 6 months old... and is now 14 months and is still a favorite in the hosue! She likes to spin the animals and find her favorites... the dog and such, and now she spins it with her feet! Funny to watch. I will say however that some of the animals have odd noises and wish they were the actual animal instead of a sound. But who can really imitate a jellyfish? Over all it has been a well used purchase and am happy to have spent the money.

My 5 1/2 month old baby has been playing with this toy for about a month. At first, I had him propped up against me to play with it, and he couldn't quite work it on his own, but the music still captivated him and he loved it. Then, because he wanted to play with it, he kept working on sitting up on his own. Now that he can, he will play with it by himself for 15-20 minutes without getting bored. He loves to spin it... and it is very easy for him to use. I love that this toy is educational and fun for him. There are several different songs. I highly recommend.

My daughter loved this this toy the first two weeks, and now doesn't seem that impressed with it. It's a great toy for the money, and plays interesting songs, but the interactive play is somewhat limited (hey, it's a ball on a platform). The animals they chose for each letter are a little odd (x-ray fish for X, umbrella bird for U etc), but my daughter is still entertained by their noises. I like the volume control and the different modes of play.

This a fun and educational toy. My daughter loves to spin the wheel and listen for the next letter or sound. It also lights up on the side as the wheel spins. I think she will continue to play with it for a long time.
