"even good for a toddler under 2" 2010-02-03
By S. Leslie (ca United States)
My 20 month old son was waking up very early and, of course, not knowing the time. We have taught our older kids that they need to wait for the "first 7" on their large digital clocks before they can come in our room. Our 20-mo old, of course, does not understand this. Not sure if it is the clock or just a change in his sleep pattern but he is sleeping later. When we come in his room, we show him the clock and he seems to understand that the color has changed on the clock. I thought the clock was expensive but I think it is worth it! Plus, it has many more years of use ahead of it....

"Overpriced but serves a purpose." 2010-02-01
By Ali (Colorado)
First of all, this clock is waaaay overpriced. We only use the functions to tell our son when it's ok to get out of bed after his nap and in the morning. We tried to use the white noise function but you have to listen to something like a half hour of music before the white noise will start. We tried starting the music half hour before bedtime but then the white noise never came on. We were hoping there was just a white noise only function and that was the reason we got this more expensive clock. I also don't know if it is broken or we are doing something wrong. There was another one that was cheaper without the white noise function. We never use the music or stories function.

Shipping was super expensive also but it did arrive very quickly.

This clock is really easy to set the times for when the clock is to change colors and our son learned the new rules of when he could come out of his room in just 2 days. If he wakes and his clock is still blue, he just sings and plays in his room until the face turns yellow. Over time, he has begun to sleep a little later. I don't know if that is b/c of the clock or he is simply getting older.

Simply stated, I really wish we would have gone for the cheaper clock as we don't use any of the functions that make this one more expensive.

 "Sleep battle OVER!" 2010-01-23
By J. Macdowell (Maryland)
Whoever developed this clock is a genius. Kids quickly pick up the notion of 'blue light on time to sleep'. Its important to follow the parental directions of non negotiation "blue light on time to sleep - end of story - goodbye and close the door". My son who is terribly oppositional and with whom we had a solid 4 years of sleep problems was quietly settling down within 2 weeks of this purchase. Also the clock is VERY sturdy. I know because initially he was angry at the clock for turning blue and flung it across the room! Lastly the customer service is impeccable; they fixed my problem on Thanksgiving!

"A total turnaround for our 2 year old!" 2010-01-11
By H. McCall (Vienna, VA)
We had tried (borrowed) a color changing nightlight with our son and thought that worked well, so we looked for something permanent. Our son actually picked out the Tot Clock and the results have far exceeded our expectations! He has returned to napping (which had become rare) and now stays in bed instead of waking up his baby brother by banging on the door when he wakes up in the morning. Who knew the problem was that he didn't know time it was! He loves his clock and even has a nickname for it.

Our only challenge is that our son is extremely curious, so we are still working with him on not unplugging the clock and playing with it...or even trying to sleep with it in bed!

I'm also extremely pleased with the customer service provided by the company. They are very responsive to questions or concerns.
