"Great fun but weak drill" 2010-02-01
By Christopher Spence (New Hamsphire, USA)
I was most excited about this toy for my two year old when I saw it. It works great but the drill that is included is really weak. You cannot unscrew screws without using your hand to loosen them first. We picked up the crane as well but it has the same issue.

 "Great puzzle/manipulative for youngsters!" 2010-01-26
By Kyle's Mom (Columbia, SC)
My 3-1/2 year old son loves this airplane! I bought him the Take-A-Part Crane for his third birthday, and he had it mastered withing 24 hours. I thought it would be good for Santa to bring him the Take-A-Part airplane for Christmas. Santa chose wisely. My son is still intrigued with this toy, and it is a little bit more difficult than the Crane version. He has not tired of the toy yet, which is good.

"A WONDERFUL TOY FOR MECHANICAL TODDLERS!" 2010-01-04
By L. Robertson
A Christmas gift for our 2-3/4 year old grandson, he plays with it first thing every visit...but it's so much more than a toy. He is learning with his Grandpa how to really use a screwdriving drill. It's a great teaching toy, like an intricate puzzle. Soon he'll be on his own with it and we can see it will last a long time; very durable, well-made.

"Great idea, needs better drill" 2010-01-02
By Byron E. Haley (Eastern Idaho)
My son and his cousin both received this for Christmas. They both loved it, except for some reason the drill can put the screws in yet lacks the power to take them out without hand loostening. They both ended up using the drill from the "design and drill" that my son also has - it's much more durable and powerful enough to remove and insert the screws.

 "great toy, great fun" 2009-12-30

i ordered this take apart airplane for my 2 1/2 yr old grandson. It is a good size. No tiny parts. We did have to help unscrew (by hand) the bolts that hold it together the first time as the little drill couldn't manage it. AFter that no problem. You do need batteries for the drill. My grandson had a great time taking it apart. He does need a bit of help to put it together again, but I'm sure he will master the steps as he grows. He does tend to keep the drill running whether its needed or not, so we put the drill away when he gets through with it.

Totally safe. I can always depend on Amazon for great toys (I first saw this toy in a MIndWare catalog, same price, but Amazon had free shipping).
